Integrating Behavioral Health and Primary Care: Behavioral Health Community Partners
April 25, 2017 9:00 - 11:00 AM
Presented by Association for Behavioral Healthcare
The Baker Administration and MassHealth are currently implementing the terms of the Medicaid 1115 waiver extension the Commonwealth signed with the federal government last November. The primary emphasis of the 1115 waiver is to transform the MassHealth program from a fee-for-service model to an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) model that pays providers on a value-basis.
MassHealth has recognized the central role of community-based behavioral health providers by creating entities known as Behavioral Health Community Partners (CPs). Behavioral Health CPs will be charged with partnering with ACOs to manage care for MassHealth members with significant mental health and addiction disorders.
Please join Vic diGravio from the Association for Behavioral Healthcare to discuss the role of Behavioral Health CPs and other behavioral health organizations within MassHealth’s new accountable care structure.
