Director of the Psychotropic Drug Intervention Program Director
Woburn, MA

The Director of the Psychotropic Drug Intervention Program (PDIP) is responsible for the ongoing development, implementation and management of the Psychotropic Drug Intervention program. The Director is responsible for the oversight of all clinical and operational aspects of the program, setting the program’s standards and managing interventions, and achievement of established performance objectives. This individual serves as the internal and external leader of the PDIP program, working with clients and the provider community in the ongoing management of the program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Define, develop and enhance program analytical algorithms to support the identification of inappropriate prescribing patterns as dictated by the goals of the program
  • Analyzes and reviews weekly population identification reports and determines appropriate intervention strategies to be applied
  • Presents results monthly to client health plans, and works in a collaborative manner with client health plans to advance the goals of the program
  • Supervises program staff
  • Manages program contracts and consultants
  • Interacts with Beacon’s Physician Advisors to review complex cases for appropriate interventions
  • Interacts with practitioners and facilities in a professional, respectful manner that facilitates the treatment process
  • Works with Business Intelligence staff to develop specifications for ongoing analytics needs for the program as well as in marketing the program to potential new clients
  • Presents program results at national conferences and other venues as identified
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree RN (nurse clinical specialist or nurse practitioner) or higher or pharmacist with 10+ years experience in the pharmacologic treatment of behavioral health disorders, including experience in provider outreach and education.

Senior Data Analyst

The Senior Data Analyst is primarily responsible for providing decision support through data mining and data analysis supporting Beacon’s internal and external data/information customers. In addition this individual is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the activities necessary to ensure the timely production and dissemination of accurate reports, data and management information. This individual also acts as the liaison between the data/information customers to provide specification requirement development support, consultation, and analysis for data/information needs. This individual is responsible for project based analysis and reporting projects and executive ad hoc report requests. He/she provides organizational support through analytics using programming, conducting research and participating as a project team leader/member.
