    Confronting the Opioid Epidemic in Massachusetts: 
    Understanding the Community Treatment System

    Massachusetts has built the foundation of a robust treatment continuum for individuals struggling with addiction.  The continuum is a solid framework for the Commonwealth to combat the current opioid epidemic.  This presentation will detail community-based treatment options available to Massachusetts residents and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of our service delivery system.  Participants will leave with a better understanding of the various services offered to individuals living with addiction, including detoxification services, residential treatment, outpatient and Medication Assisted Treatments (MATs).
