Connecting the Healthcare Ecosystem
presented by...

Interoperability and health information exchange are central to realizing the universal goals of improving health outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.

By enabling clinical data exchange across providers, across regions and across and between states, health information exchanges can give care providers access to clinical intelligence, in real-time, at point of care.

As part of this presentation, attendees will better understand GE Healthcare's role in health information exchange through its eHealth portfolio.

Additionally, participants will learn how creating a health information exchange is just the first step in creating a healthcare eocsystem that can transform patient care by decreasing costs and improving quality.

Speaker:

Matthew C. Cardoso, MBA - Product Manager of eHealth Solutions

Matt has over twelve years of healthcare IT and strategy experience.  In his current position, he focuses on user experience, workflow design and new product introduction.  Matt received his BS and BA from University of Massachusetts and MBA from Northeastern University.

About GE Healthcare

GE Healthcare provides Global eHealth Solutions that connect the healthcare ecosystem in new ways, transforming care by helping doctors, nurses and patients access health information and make more informed decisions.

Our standards-based, vendor-agnostic health information exchange solutions build on our customers' existing IT investments by integrating directly with existing EMRs and enabling the exchange of clinical data from other systems. Additionally, non-EMR users can access the same information via the web-based eHealth Clinical Portal.  Finally, with solutions such as the eHealth Patient Health Manager, patients can be empowered to take part in the treatment process thereby helping improve patient satisfaction and enhancing long-term provider-patient relationships.

As a strong, stable, technology partner, GE helps customers remain confident in these dynamic times by providing the expertise and  support needed to implement a health information exchange and capture the full value of eHealth.
